Project institute “Ukrspetstonnelproject”, a part of Construction Association Interbudmontazh, was registered in 2003. The Institute’s personnel was formed among specialists of national project institutes “Ukrmetrotonnelproject” and “Soyuzdorproject” that for 50 years used to be the leading project organizations of the former USSR.
The Institute consists of 126 employees.
“Ukrspetstonnelproject” performes the whole scope of project works from building constructions laboratory tests to preparation of project documentation and working drawings at the modern level using the newest achievements in architecture, buildings construction and computer technologies.
As a response to the permanent increase in the amount of work, a new office was opened in Russian Federation. Currently, more than 30 projects have been completed in Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan.
The Institute develops the following projects:
- Construction of metro,
- Different tunnels in different geotechnical conditions, including the most difficult (seismic, karsts etc.), in constructions with 20 m spans and cross-section square up to 430 sq. m,
- Underground crossings and constructions,
- Bridges and viaducts,
- Roads and railways with infrastructure,
- Living and office complexes.
Institute provides:
- Geotechnical and geological studies of construction sites,
- Expertise of buildings, constructions and networks,
- Support in receiving approvals in governmental organizations,
- Technical support and consultations in design,
- Design of environmental saving measures.
Design works are performed with licensed software only.
The Institute’s personnel consists of specialists with a significant experience in design and construction of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kharkiv, Donetsk metro. They participated in design of unique and difficult Baikalsky, Severo-Muysky, Mysovy tunnels of BAM (Baikal-Amur Railway), lifts in Crimea, tunnel-type wine storages in Masandra, Gurzuf, Alushta, Abrau-Dyurso. Specialists of the Institute consulted engineers from Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Latvia in designing of tunnels in those countries.
Quality management system, which was introduced and is successfully operated in PJSC “Project Institute “Ukrspetstonnelproject”, complies with ISO 9001:2000 and national standard of Ukraine DSTU ISO 9001:2001.
Computer-based designing methods involve a wide usage of 3D modeling and automated technical calculations. Project specialists are concentrated on permanent search of solutions to improve reliability and cost of constructions.
