Information
Ashgabat is a large modern administrative center with magnificent architecture and developed infrastructure.
The city is growing rapidly, modern neighborhoods are being built with highways, squares and parks, which leads to flooding of foundations, loss of stability of buildings, dampness in basements, as well as the appearance of salt marshes, leading to soil infertility.
The rise in groundwater levels is due to:
– underground flow from the foothills of the Kopetdag and the Keshi upland;
– seepage of the waters of the Kara-Kum River and the water basin of the lake “Gurtli”;
– atmospheric precipitation;
– water flowing from irrigated areas;
– seepage of sewer and water systems;
Based on the experience of work previously performed in Ashgabat, Interbudmontazh proposes to carry out a complex for the construction of drainage, water conduits and collectors with a diameter of 3.5 m with a capacity of 1272.7 thousand cubic meters to drain wastewater outside the city in gravity mode.
The main objective of the project is to lower the groundwater level to a depth of 4-6 meters from the surface, ensuring a stable position of the water level, smoothing out seasonal fluctuations, which will allow:
– reduce the seismicity of these areas;
– increase the stability of soils, which does not require the construction of artificial bases under the foundations;
– reduce the cost of design and construction, reduce the cost of reinforcement and concrete in the construction of buildings and structures up to 5%.
– reduce the cost of dewatering during the construction of facilities.
change the chemical composition of soils, which positively affects the root system of green areas;
– ensure centralized collection and disposal of sewage wastewater in accordance with the requirements of sanitary standards, which improves the environment and significantly epidemiological danger;
– reduce the cost of laying networks in the development of new areas of the city.
Conclusion:
This project increases the comfort of living, makes it possible to increase the territories of park areas and green spaces, which significantly improves the ecological situation, while not limiting the adoption of architectural solutions in the development of modern Ashgabat.
